Welcome to ARK - Adventures of Ridley and Kraid.
This is a humorous comic series that which depicts the awkward adventures of our two favorite Space Pirates and their buddies that they meet along their journey. The first one and a half takes place on a game in Ridley's Crocomire Advance, and soon after that, the two find theirselves on a journey to end the reign of one of their own minions. Along the way, Ridley and Kraid get shoved off the Mothership forcibly, and have to build a base under the surface of a barren planet to survive. IMPORTANT: This comic has been rated PG-13 for constant rude humor, moderate (sometimes strong) swearing, mild/vague sexual references, direct alcoholic references, violence (usually associated with slapstick humor, and often non-bloodied violence), and very few moments of unrealistic depictions of blood and gore.
First off, sorry for lacking in making ARK comics for making many, many Buttshot comics.
To make up for this, I will make ARK: Zero Mission.
When I first made ARK I, I had literally just started spriting. Therefore, I was amateur at spriting, and I made a pile of crap.
But now, a year later, as proven by ARK VII, Super ARK, Super ARK II, and Buttshot, my spriting skills have drastically improved. And thus, I can remake ARK I and create a much more enjoyable-to-read comic.
I promise, the quality will be a major improvement...ARK: ZM will be longer, and contain better humor.
I will keep the original ARK I up because it's something many people here have grown to love, so I will post ARK: ZM as an entirely new comic.
Thanks for reading.
Ultimate Ridley out.
I am seeing that I am not getting any visitors. I created a poll in my thread about this comic on the forums, and the only responses I got on the poll were bad.
Which leads me to one final conclusion: the first comic lacks a hook.
What I mean is, the first segment to ARK isn't interesting enough for the reader to continue on. And all I have to say is, read on anyway. It gets better. Every comic fixes something the last didn't, with ARK VI being the best at by now, as it fixed everything the first screwed up on, which, in many people's cases, includes good humor.
So what I have to say is, don't let the first segment make you think the comic as a whole sucks.
And to you sprite comic haters: screw you. They're comics nonetheless, learn to like them or at least accept them.
Okay, so I'm not the world's neatest organizer, but I don't know how to add chapters, unless it counts as a separate comic.
ARK is divided sort of like classic NES Mario platformers, you know, World 1-1? Well, ARK 1-1 means it's part of the first ARK, but it's the first strip. Like ARK 1-2 means it's still the first ARK comic, but it's the second strip. ARK 4-7 means it's the fourth ARK segment, and the seventh strip. You get the idea.
Just wanted to post this to stop confusion.
